Belgian VAT Desk performs VAT audits to identify the clients' potential risks and possible opportunities. These audits are structured in three consecutive phases:
1. Audit (phase 1)
- The VAT audit will verify compliance to the VAT legislation by scrutinizing passed VAT returns and accounting records.
- The assigned audit team will question accounting personnel in order to assess the company's potential risks and possible opportunities, relating to VAT.
2. Report (phase 2)
- On conclusion of the VAT audit, a report will be produced that is aimed at Detailing the client's current VAT procedures Vs. the Belgian and European VAT legislation requirements and the potential risks that exist as a result thereof.
- Introducing methodologies to best implement necessary VAT procedures to conform to the required legislations.
3. Final meeting (Phase 3)
- A meeting with the responsible persons to communicate, discuss and evaluate the findings of the audit.
